Maria Hazuka, LPN
Licensed Practical Nurse
Maria is our lead Licensed Practical Nurse who provides a variety of cosmetic services including chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling, IPL, Vanquish ME, and BTL Exilis. Maria works in partnership with our physicians to support our patient’s medical needs as well. She is experienced in both the BLU-Light Photodynamic Therapy for actinic keratoses, and the XTRAC excimer laser for psoriasis.
Maria fulfilled her lifetime dream of becoming a nurse in 2007. She graduated in the top of her class with the loving support of her husband and three children. Maria didn’t realize at the time that she would end up working in Dermatology, as the Integumentary system module was her favorite. She would continually investigate deeper into our very impressive and vital organ – the skin.
When meeting patients, Maria listens to their main concerns and devises a plan that will work for that individual, factoring in their lifestyle and budget. If there is any question, Maria will seek the advice of our MD to ensure the best outcome. It is not uncommon to see patients leaving her treatment room with smiles and a hug. Maria’s genuine love for her patients is evident every day. She has embraced graduations, weddings, births and inevitable sadness in her patients. As Maria states, “My patients are my family away from home. I look at my schedule in the morning, and can’t wait to catch up!” Not surprisingly, Maria’s display case proudly houses a saying, “May All Your Wrinkles Come From Smiles”.
